COLLEGE TALK To further strengthen our commitment to being part of the solution to underage drinking, Anheuser-Busch and Pepin Distributing Company offer retailers training and a variety of materials that help them check and verify valid ID’s. These materials includes a card that feature tips on how to recognize a fake ID, a poster that illustrates how easy it is for a sixteen year old girl to look like she is twenty one, drivers license books that have examples of valid drivers licenses from every state in the United States including Canada, Static Clings and WE ID server buttons. Retailers against the sale of alcohol to minors have proclaimed the months of April and May as Operation ID months. Annually over 400 retailers in Hillsborough County participate with Operation ID. Each year we partner with prominent community leaders to act as spokespersons. Past leaders include Sheriff Cal Henderson, Mayor Dick Greco and Curtis Lane, assistant to the Mayor. Beginning in 2003 Pepin Distributing Company has initiated a program that alerts retailers in the vicinity of high school proms events as to the date and location of Bay area high school proms. This helps prevent the sale to minors because the clerks are on high alert and step up their ID checking procedures.

ZINGO DESIGNATED DRIVERS Zingo Transportation, Inc. was founded in October 2005 by Atlanta entrepreneurs Jim Valentine, Charles Barfield, and PX Head. They founded Zingo to give people a viable option to the number one reason people make the bad decision to drink and drive--leaving their car behind. Shortly thereafter, the founders of Zingo secured the exclusive importation rights to the amazing Di Blasi folding motorbike that makes Zingo's unique service possible. Since then, they have quickly moved to spread the Zingo concept nationwide through the Zingo License Program. One too many to drive? ZINGO will also be at many local drinking establishments (depending on event schedules and day of the week!) So you can grab a driver on your way out of the bar! Pricing: Hours of Operation: Visit www.zingotampa.com for more information. |

COMMUNITY OUTREACH Similar to our diverse list of community organizations and agencies that we provide support to, our community outreach extends to numerous projects. Our primary focus is to fight alcohol abuse through education and awareness campaigns. We are strictly opposed to alcohol abuse and underage drinking. We strive to be a part of the solution to these community issues by collaborating and partnering with law enforcement, retailers and prevention industry agents. We have over a dozen programs that help reduce the incidence of alcohol abuse. Areas of particular concentration are underage drinking, drunk driving, college issues and individual responsibility. Our programs and partnerships are making a difference however, there is always more work to be done. Community Outreach is a core philosophy in the way we approach business. This philosophy is part of our culture and part of our facility. Our state-of-the-art hospitality center provides us with a means to help build a better community by assisting community organizations to raise funds that they need to support their endeavors. As a critical part of our business plan for T Pepin’s Hospitality Centre, we have set an annual goal of assisting non-profit organizations to raise over 1 million dollars within our facility. |
