Toast Your Brew and Celebrate the Repeal of Prohibition on April 7th!

April 7th, the day that beer came back and December 5th, the total repeal of prohibition. Franklin D. Roosevelt famously stated “What America needs now is a drink!”
The repeal of prohibition affected many industries and brought much needed work for the glassmakers, printers, truck manufactures and their suppliers, restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, farmers, advertising agencies, railroads and coopers.
2012 marks the 79th anniversary of effective state based alcohol regulation since the ratification of the 21st amendment. Today, consumers of legal drinking age have access to nearly 13,500 labels of beer and we still celebrate this day as one of the happiest anniversaries.
The American beer distribution system creates a clear channel of custody, accountability and traceability. America’s beer distributors bring fresh beer to market, provide for over 91,000 jobs with solid wages and health care. Distributors also provide an enormous amount of community support in the communities in which they do business.
Why We Should Celebrate!
Let there be hope. Let there be joy. Let there be Beer!
JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN!
